_Silent Unity Centre 18 Isiokpo St., D/ Line Port Hartcourt, Nigeria Attn: Sampson Wopara
Greetings Sampson Wopara,
You have probably heard of our church through Helen Evwaraye and Joel Ogbonda. It has been my desire for quite a while to write to you. I apologize that I have not done so sooner. I feel such closeness with the Unity churches in Port Harcourt. My vision is that we build bridges between the Unity churches in Nigeria and the United States. We are so blessed to have Helen in our church, and to have learned of your church through her.
Unity Church of Dayton is praying with your church daily, and we are so thankful to feel connected to your center. We would like to work more closely with you and your church. Let me introduce myself. I am Lisa Davis, a second-generation Unity minister. My mother is a Unity minister, and I have been ordained for three years. I feel very blessed to have been in Unity all of my life. The principles that Unity has taught me have created a God filled, love filled life for me. I believe that Unity is a way to transform this planet. And I believe that within Unity we are blessed with each Unity person we meet, especially our Unity friends around the world.
I have so many questions for you; someday I would like to think that we will meet in person. For now, I have sent a list of questions. If they are too much to answer, or offend you in any way, I apologize in advance. I get very excited when I think about our two churches getting to know each other. For the last two years, in the center meeting place of our church has hung the wall hanging for our 75th anniversary that your center did for us. It is very sacred to us.
Please know I would like to support you in your ministry, and would like any input from you as to how we could do this. I honor your path of ministry and bless you along your journey.
Rev. Lisa Davis
Sample Letter 2
Greetings from Unity Church of Dayton! We send you love and blessings as you continue your path of supporting people with the Unity message of life, love and possibility. We continue to pray with your church, and we see great things happening in the Unity Churches in Nigeria.
We are delighted to send this shipment of the Unity book, Christian Healing. As always, Unity’s co-founder, Charles Fillmore shares so much wisdom in all of his writings. There is healing for each of us as we open ourselves to Spirit.
We have also enclosed a folder of “Annotations” on Christian Healing. These annotations were created many years ago to support churches in teaching Unity classes. They are very useful in putting together a class on this book.
We have sent 10 books, however, we are happy to send as many more as you need. Please let us know if you do need more books, and how many you would need. Also enclosed is a self-addressed stamped envelope. We would love to hear from you regarding your congregations’ response to the books and the teaching materials. Our belief is that together we can bring about peace on earth by building bridges of connection and love. We are so happy to be a part of your community through the bridge of love.
We continue to hold a sacred space for your abundant prosperity. We hold you in the light and love of Spirit.
Love and blessings,
Rev. Lisa Davis & Building Bridges Team
